Thank you for leaving this video out there. I’ve watched several prior to this and so much of the info has made me want to just keep listening as I agree with so much. I even have a couple of the downloads. I went to look for that workbook mentioned at the of this video but not sure where to find it. A little help please?
By the way, I took over the chore chart for my kids and made it a success chart for myself. 😃 It’s a weekly chart, but I like that I can swap things out as needed after trying them for a week or update my exercise goals every week.Thank you Aron!
Thanks for the tips but the music in the back makes it very difficult to internalize what you’re saying
Last thing I need is reference to productivity books written by neurotypical people and for neurotypical people. I have read them. Many of them. I’ve suffered greatly in failures because I was not able to sustain most of the things those books suggest. If those strategies worked for me I wouldn’t be watching You Tube videos titled How to Build Good Habits for ADHD Brains Fast. I’m glad something worked for you. You have certain found a path to success by society’s standards.
Mentioning the word “lazy” when talking about people with ADHD is not helpful.
There was a reference here in this video about using our laziness for some advantage in being productive. It’s my understanding that “lazy” is not a correct adjective for ADHD behavior where we are not able to act. “Lazy” implies a willfulness to lay around and do nothing. When ADHD people lay around it is not being lazy, it is an inability to launch into action, and it is often not a willful decision. Most of us want to be more active and productive. When we aren’t it is not because we are lazy, we simply can’t.
“Really enjoyed this.”“Super helpful!”
