ONE THING I LIKE TO DO IS FIND FOOD THAT CAN BE MADE INTO SEVERAL MEALS, LIKE ONE NIGHT MEATLOAF. HAVE THAT FOR ONE MEAL, THEN MAYBE HAVE A MEAT LOAF SANDWICH THE NEXT DAY FOR LUNCH THEN MAKE A STEW WITH THE REST OF THAT MEATLOAF, AND JUST ADD MIX VEGETABLES AND STEWED TOMATOES WITH SOME KETCHUP AND SEASONINGS. FREEZE WHATEVER IS LEFT. AND LIKE HAVE CHICKEN AND RICE ONE DAY THEN MAKE CHICKEN AND RICE SOUP FOR LUNCH IN THEN NEXT DAY OR SO. ONE THING TOO IS IF I HAVE LEFTOVERS I MAY FREEZ E THEM AND HAVE A DAY WHERE I DON’T HAVE TO COOK LIKE A SATURDAY, ALL I DO IS WARM UP AND SERVE THE LEFTOVERS. IT’S A NICE BREAK FROM HAVING TO RUSH AROUND COOLING A WHOLE MEAL.
TO ME IT IS COST SAVING AND TIME SAVING WHEN YOU CAN HAVE MEALS PLANNED OUT WITH FOOD YOU CAN MAKE SEVERAL MEALS WITH.
Dawn, your points are all super valid AND some of us are starting from complete and total scratch and don’t have any meals we know super well…so we end up needing to try new recipes just because we are cooking from home for the first time. That said, there’s no getting around having to learn new recipes 😅 Maybe these people are not your audience 🤷♀️
